Have you ever noticed parents and teachers often remarking their pupils for their educational performance by comparing then to Einstein? Is Albert Einstein a symbol
for intellectual thinking? Is there a way how we could win similar renown as him? If so what is it that we must do?
The world awaits a person with unprecedented understanding and intellectual thinking who could plunge into the depths of science thus making an everlasting mark in history. In the present times the modern society (in India) might not accept the birth of intellectuals who bring forth a feeling of awe in the hearts of men. The modern society is more inclined towards the production of a group of physicists than a mastermind. Albert Einstein was a person who has not faced the restriction of the modern society.
Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, in Württemberg in Germany on March 14, 1879.It was noticeable that Einstein’s early life has not any of the traits that give us a clue he would be the greatest physicist of all times. His life is a clear example that supports the notion – the greatest of men were not destined at birth. His ideologies were least affected by the trends of the society.
Unlike the lifestyle in cities of the 21st century which accepts learning by rote, Einstein believed in creative thought untouched by any circumstances. Einstein’s creative taught was more a passion rather than a fancy, his ideas were driven by the thought of visualizing the world in unprecedented ways. His belief in god has made him explore the intricacies and complexity of the universe.
But during the 1920s the new science of quantum mechanics began to turn the tide against the way Einstein saw the world. Quantum mechanics is a brand new way of interpreting everything, It was a new insight into physics at the sub atomic level where the rules of physics are governed by probabilities and uncertainties. Quantum mechanics has gained the attention of many of the young physicists of that age. Einstein’s work was mostly based on his belief in god, he believed that the universe was created by the divine and everything in it can be determined with absolute accuracy. He was against the notion of uncertainties in the quantum mechanics. It was a clash of ideologies between the famous physicists of that that age.
Later, Einstein has come across an idea to resolve the clash between his theory of relativity and the theory of quantum mechanics, the two competing visions of the universe. He started working on his new theory, a theory that would reveal the basic answer to everything in the universe. It was a project that he would work on for the next 30 years, until the final day of his life.
Einstein worked hard on the theory, but success eluded him. That was no surprise to his contemporaries, who saw his quest as a capricious indulgence. They were sure that their co physicist was wasting him time caught up in the romance of noble deeds and the pursuit of unreachable goals.
As Albert Einstein lay on his deathbed, he asked only for his glasses, his writing implements and his latest equations. He knew he was dying, yet he continued his work. In those final hours of his life, while fading in and out of consciousness, he was working on what he hoped would be his greatest work of all. It was a project of monumental complexity. It was a project that he hoped would unlock the mind of God.
Pertaining in to the modern society, Einstein’s creative thinking might not resemble an implant in the daily schedule of an individual in this completive world. It is not the extraordinary intellect of Einstein that has won his renown, indeed it is his incessant activity of understanding the world he is in. The modern society India inhibits the creativity of intellectuals by forcing them to adjust their activities to suit the needs of the society.
